The project involved a complete overhaul of over 250,000 square feet of warehouse/office space, formerly occupied by Kodak, transforming it into a cutting-edge higher education learning center. Featuring state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories, administrative offices, and student life spaces, the urban campus was designed to inspire and facilitate learning.
Extensive coordination with Kodak was essential, particularly concerning material deliveries and security, to ensure smooth progress. Given that Kodak's fire and security systems ran through the MCC building, interruptions to their services and ongoing operations were strictly prohibited. Material staging was limited to a first-floor basement area with a loading dock, necessitating close communication with Kodak staff for deliveries.
Notably, the project achieved LEED® Gold certification, highlighting its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
