Marketview Apartments

Marketview Apartments is a modern 42-unit building designed for working families in Ithaca, NY. Overlooking the Ithaca City Farmer’s Market and the Cayuga Lake Inlet, it offers a range of amenities including high-speed internet, laundry facilities, and a community room with a kitchen, patio spaces, and a playground. Each unit features a private patio or balcony, and residents have access to the adjacent Ithaca Community Gardens.

This new 4-story building adheres to strict HCR funding guidelines and incorporates a distinctly modern aesthetic that complements the surrounding neighborhoods. It includes a mix of 1- and 2-bedroom units, each with a kitchen, living area, bedroom, bathroom, and a private balcony.

What makes this project unique is that Marketview Apartments is an all-electric, energy-efficient building that meets green building standards required for Enterprise Green Communities Plus certification and US Green Building Council LEED standards. The development was funded by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority’s New Construction Housing Program and features ENERGY STAR-rated appliances, equipment, and lighting, as well as low-VOC building materials and integrated pest management.
